Autostrade per l’Italia Group is committed to ensuring the accessibility of all its physical and digital products and services. We believe it is essential that everyone – regardless of ability, device, or context – can effectively access the content and services offered, in accordance with the principles of equality, non-discrimination, and inclusion. 

An ongoing process of technical and regulatory adaptation is underway, with the aim of ensuring the progressive compliance of all sections and functionalities across all Autostrade per l’Italia touchpoints with the requirements of WCAG 2.2 – Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (levels A and AA) and UNI EN 301 549, as required by:

    • EU Directive 2016/2102 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies; 
    • Italian Law no. 4 of 9 January 2004 (Stanca Law), as amended by Legislative Decree no. 106 of 10 August 2018; 
    • AgID Guidelines on Accessibility of IT tools (latest version in force); 
    • EU Directive 2019/882 – European Accessibility Act (EAA), implemented in Italy by Legislative Decree 82/2022; 
    • International technical standards by W3C. 

Ongoing Actions

The ongoing accessibility improvement process includes:

  • Continuous monitoring based on WCAG 2.2 (levels A and AA) and UNI EN 301 549.
  • Removal of identified barriers.
  • Training of editorial and technical staff.
  • Implementation of procedures to ensure that accessibility requirements are maintained over time.
  • Periodic updates to this accessibility statement to document the progress made.

Compliance status

The youverse.it website is partially compliant with the requirements set out in Annex A of UNI EN 301 549 and with WCAG 2.2 (levels A and AA), due to the instances of non-compliance listed below and in accordance with the definition provided in EU Directive 2016/2102, transposed into Italian law by Legislative Decree No. 106 of 10 August 2018.

Non-accessible contents

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a) non-compliance with Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004.

The following recurring accessibility issues have been identified within the website:

  • Some decorative images have alternative text that is not meaningful or is redundant with the text label already displayed next to the image.
  • One page does not contain a level-one heading.
  • Some text does not meet the minimum contrast ratio against the background, particularly the text on certain buttons, the text entered in the search field, and the text in the credits bar.
  • The keyboard focus indicator is not visible on some interactive components and, where present, does not meet the minimum contrast ratio against the background.
  • The accessible name of one component does not match the label displayed visually.
  • The contact form does not provide a system for identifying errors while the form is being completed: errors are only reported after submission.
  • Some semantic roles and ARIA attributes are used incorrectly or are applied to elements that do not support them.
